Suunto AMBIT 3 PEAK er en outdoor GPS-klokke til sport og til eventyrlystne. Overfor Suunto Ambit 2 med utvidet outdoor- og multisport-funksjoner.

Suunto AMBIT 3 PEAK er en forbedret etterfølger av Ambit 2. Optisk er Suunto AMBIT 3 PEAK ingen forskjell fra den forrige modellen. Det samme gjelder også for bruken i betraktning av de mange funksjonene er den laget ytterst intuitiv.
Nytt er derimot at hjertefrekvensmålingen med en Suunto AMBIT 3 PEAK også er mulig ved svømming. Dermed er Suunto AMBIT 3 PEAK en av de første sportsklokken hvor dette er mulig. Det nye Suunto pulsbeltet Smart Sensor gjør det mulig for den har et eget dataminne. På denne blir svømmedata som f.eks. hjertefrekvensen lagret inntil personen kommer opp av vannet igjen. Først da blir data overført via Bluetooth Smart (istedet for tidligere ANT+) fra pulsbeltet over til klokken.

Takket være Bluetooth Smart-teknologi og en Suunto Movescount-App kan Suunto AMBIT 3 PEAK også kommunisere med Smartphones (iOS: iPhone fra 4S, iPad mini, iPad fra 3. generasjon og iPod Touch fra 5. generasjon; Android: Produsent side planlegges). Med en app kan man ta opp de nyeste ytelsene ved løping, sykling eller andre sportslige aktiviteter og dele dette med andre. Videre vises anrop, SMS og push-varslinger på Suunto Ambit 3. Treningen må altså ikke avbrytes for å se hvem som ringer.

Som PEAK-variant har Suunto Ambit 3 en utvidet outdoor- funksjon i forhold til SPORT-varianten. Suunto AMBIT 3 PEAK gir deg barometer-data, den er utstyrt med en høydemåler med FusedAltiTM, stormvarsler, utstyrt med tiden mellom soloppgang og solnedgang og har en batteriholdbarhet ved bruk av GPS inntil 50 timer (Ambit 3 SPORT: 25 timer)..

Suunto Ambit 3 PEAK fås både med og uten et pulsbelte (HR-variant).
